This addendum concerns the notification of the draft of the Egyptian Standard ES 8117-1 for "child use and care articles – baby carriers – Safety requirements and test methods Part 1 : Framed back carriers " (37 pages, in English).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 1307/2017 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/165/add.1 dated 21 February 2018 and the Ministerial Decree No. 609 /2020 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/165/add.2 dated 30 march 2021, mandated among others the earlier versions of this Egyptian standard.

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of EN 13209-1/2022.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
