This draft of the Egyptian standard ES 1758 which specifies Water-based and oil-based felt-tip pens, which consist of a container made of plastic, glass, and metal, inside which is an absorbent part saturated with ink, and the pen tip is made of fiber or plastic and is connected to the container. Brush pens are excluded from the group of water-based marker pens.

Worth mentioning is that this draft standard is technically identical with JIS S 6037/2021
