This Regulation aims to establish minimum quality, safety, hygiene and performance requirements for disposable sanitary pads manufactured, imported, distributed and sold in Zambia. The Regulation seeks to protect consumers particularly women and girls from unsafe and substandard menstrual hygiene products. It also aims to promote consistency in product quality, improve consumer confidence and ensure that disposable sanitary pads are fit for their intended purpose.
