This regulation aims to establish requirements for classification, quality, physical charateristics and marking of ceramic tiles intended for use in buildings and other construction applications. Its main objective is to ensure that ceramic tiles manufactited locally or imported into Zambia meet acceptable quality and performance requirements. It also seeks to protect consumers against substandard ceramic tiles, promote fair competition among manufacturers and suppliers, and ensure that products are correctly classified and labelled according to their intended applications
