Products covered: Products of the chemical industry (ICS code(s): 71.100).

This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.210/2026 (1 page, in Arabic) and the Ministerial Decree No.229/2026 (1 page, in Arabic) that give the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by The Egyptian Standard ES 9325 for "Disposable products for dry cleaning of the body and disposable towels"; (12 page(s), in Arabic).

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/573 dated 7 April 2026.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with the following:

Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 on Cosmetic Products.
ISO 17516 /2014.
Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 - Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 - classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP).
Egyptian Standard 4160/2024- Cosmetics - Wet Wipes and Requirements of Eco Labelling.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption:21/9/2026.

Proposed date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette.
