This daft East African Standard specifies requirements for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, inspection and maintenance of LPG reticulation systems serving domestic, commercial and industrial consumer installations supplied from bulk LPG storage vessels.

This standard does not cover LPG storage installations at:

Refineries and cylinder/ container filling plants;
LPG-air (Synthetic natural gas) distribution plants;
Aerosol plants; and
Auto LPG stations
