This Draft Rwanda Standard specifies anthropometric basis, size designation rules and framework requirements for Rwanda size charts for ready-made garments. It establishes the body measurement tables, size intervals used for the development, grading and labelling of garments.
This Standard applies to mass-produced garments intended for male and female population from teenager to adult in Rwanda. The garment size designation and classification are based on anthropometric primary and secondary data.
This Standard does not cover garment design, pattern construction, material performance, protective clothing and medical applications.
This Draft Rwanda Standard is not intended for bespoke or made-to-measure garments where sizing is defined by individual measurements.
