This addendum concerns the notification of the draft of the Egyptian Standard ES 8011 for " Liquid Detergent for Cleaning Fresh Vegetables and Fruits with or without Disinfectant " (15 pages, in Arabic)"

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 243/2016 which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/155 dated 12 August 2016 mandated among others the earlier version of this Egyptian standard.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with the following:

- Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council on Detergents.

- Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

- Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 - Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).

- Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 - classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP)

- European Commission Ecolabel — Detergents for hand dishwashing — Criteria (2021)

- ECOCERT Greenlife — Guidelines for Detergents and Cleaning Products (Version 2022).

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
