This addendum concerns the notification of the draft of the Egyptian Standard ES 780-1 for “gas cylinders-refillable seamless steel gas cylinders-design, construction and testing- part 1: quenched and tempered steel cylinders with tensile strength less than 1100 MPa "(77 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 691/2015 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/132 dated 9 March 2016, mandated among others the earlier version of this Standard.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with ISO 9809-1/2019.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
