This addendum concerns the notification of the draft of the Egyptian Standard ES 804 for “canned tuna and bonito” (14 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 256/2016, which was formally notified G/SPS/N/EGY/60/Add.2 dated 12 August 2016 mandated among others the earlier versions of this Egyptian Standard, and the draft of this Standard was formerly notified in G/SPS/N/EGY/60 dated 3/3/2015.

Worth mentioning is that this draft standard is technically identical with Codex Standard CXS 70-1981 adopted in 1981, revised in 1995, amended in 2011, 2013, 2016, 2018 and 2024.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
