communication and re-evaluation of health claims
These guidelines include consideration of safety in the evaluation of proposed health claims, but are not intended for the complete evaluation of the safety and the quality of a food, for which relevant provisions are
laid out by other Regional Standards and Guidelines or general rules of existing national legislations.
These guidelines should be read in conjunction with the Working Principles for Risk Analysis for Food Safety for Application by Governments (CXG 62: 2007)
These guidelines are not applicable to foods and their health claims intended for population of 36 months old and below.
