This Working Draft East African Standard specifies requirements, sampling and test methods for rotational and blow moulded flat bottom, upright cylindrical polyethylene chemical storage tanks for storage of chemical liquids having a maximum specific gravity of 1400 kg/m3 , designed for a service temperature of not more than 60⁰C. This Working Draft East African Standard covers the design of stationery vessels for use at atmospheric pressure intended for storage/use with liquid chemicals heated below their flash points. This standard is not applicable to underground tanks, mobile water tanks and horizontal cylindrical water tanks.
