The aim of this addendum is to update WTO Members that the Draft East African Standard, DEAS 1138: 2023, Basic design and operation of abattoir/slaughterhouses — Requirements, First Edition, notified G/SPS/N/BDI/50, G/SPS/N/KEN/206, G/SPS/N/RWA/43, G/SPS/N/TZA/264 and G/SPS/N/UGA/247, was adopted by Uganda on 30 September 2025 as a US EAS 1138: 2024, Basic design and operation of abattoir/slaughterhouses — Requirements, First Edition.
