This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.372/2025 (1Page, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a twelve-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 1562 "Liquid Synthetic Detergents for Manual Dishwashing" (10 pages, in Arabic).

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No.535/2015 (2 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/90 dated 20 August 2015, the Ministerial Decree No. 499 /2023 (4 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/90/Add.1 dated 11 March 2024, mandated among others the earlier versions of this Standard and the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/90/Add.2 dated 27 March 2025.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with the following:

Regulation (EC) No. 648/2004 of the European Parliament and of the council on detergents.
Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 - Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 - classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures (CLP).
JIS K 3370/2019.
GSO 2238/2021.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Date of adoption: 22 October 2025.

Date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette.
