This standard specifies the basic requirements and descriptive criteria for barley kernels used in the manufacture of feed and raw feed materials.

It is worth mentioning that this standards complies with:

Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Decree No. 1498/1996 regarding the regulation, manufacture, circulation and control of feed;
USDA Grain Inspection Handbook, Book 11 Barley 2013.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
