This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No. 245 /2025 (4 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 4912-2 "Plain bearings — Thin-walled half bearings with or without flange — Part 2: Measurement of wall thickness and flange thickness"; (15 page(s), in English)

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/532 dated 10 January 2025.

Worth mentioning is that this standard adopts the technical content of ISO 3548-2:2020.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Proposed date of adoption: 11 August 2025.

Proposed date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette.
