This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.245/2025 (4 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 9106 “wet wipes for cleaning and/or disinfecting surfaces; (14 page(s), in Arabic)".

It should be noted that the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/495 dated 4 December 2024.

Worth mentioning is that this standard complies with the following :

Regulation(EC) No 648/2004.
Regulation(EC) No 1907/2006.
Regulation(EC) No 1272/2008.
OEKO - TEX STANDARD 100.
ES 4106.

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.

Date of adoption: 11 August 2025

Date of entry into force: The day following the date of publication in the official gazette.
