This addendum concerns the notification of the Ministerial Decree No.142/2024 (2 pages, in Arabic) that gives the producers and importers a six-month transitional period to abide by the Egyptian Standard ES 7090 for " uniform provisions concerning the approval of pneumatic tyres for motor vehicles and their trailers " (48 pages, in Arabic)

It should be noted that the Ministerial Decree No. 32/2010 (3 pages, in Arabic) which was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/23 dated 4 May 2010 mandated among others the earlier version of this Standard and the draft of this standard was formerly notified in G/TBT/N/EGY/23/Add.1 dated 13 October 2023.

Worth mentioning is that this standard is technically identical with Regulation No. 30 of the Economic Commission for Europe of the United Nations (UN/ECE) "Uniform provisions concerning the approval of pneumatic tyres for motor vehicles and their trailers"

Producers and importers are kept informed of any amendments in the Egyptian standards through the publication of administrative orders in the official gazette.
