The aim of this draft decree is to: - Lay down the sanitary and qualitative conditions applicable to marine and freshwater products during and after unloading; - lay down the sanitary and hygiene conditions which must be met by plants where marine and freshwater products are handled, treated, prepared, processed, packaged, stored or placed on sale; - hold plants that treat and process marine or freshwater products and by-products accountable for guaranteeing the healthiness of their products by taking all the necessary measures, i.e. by introducing the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system.
