1. - Ministerial Decree No. 1409/2006 (a) Allowing importation of one-day old ducklings under the following conditions: (i) Applying of GOVS conditions for importation of one-day old ducklings; (ii) The importation must be from countries free from any contagious and infectious diseases including avian influenza according to the current health status pronounced by the responsible international organizations; (iii) The imported ducklings must not be vaccinated against avian influenza and have no antibodies for this disease; (iv) The imported ducklings will not enter the country in case of alteration of the health status of the country of origin at the time of arrival of the consignment to Egyptian ports. (b) Immediately after arrival and before vaccination against avian influenza, the consignment of ducklings (one-day old ducklings) will be quarantined under observation of GOVS and samples should be collected for laboratory tests which will be done in the Animal Health Research Institute according to the internationally approved laboratory tests. The consignment will be released after negativity has been proved by the test results. 2. Annex including the GOVS conditions for allowing importation of one-day old ducklings.
