The board of the General Organization for Veterinary Services (GOVS) in Egypt approved extending, for a period of six month starting 31 March 2009, the import of meat and offals from the approved slaughterhouring approved exporting countries without inspection by the technical veterinary committees of GOVS, so that importing companies can complete the necessary arrangements and their trading contracts.
