The Regulations provide for: - the use of sweeteners in foodstuffs to comply with the standards of composition, strength and quality as specified by these regulations and the World Health Regulation's (WHO) Joint Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA). - the use of sweeteners to be permitted according to the provisions for sweeteners as outlined in the General Standard of Food Additives (GSFA) - Codex STAN 192-1995. - related matters (labelling), as outlined in these regulations.
