According to the Scientific Committee decision held on 5 March 2012 for the discussion of Schmallenberg virus implications. The committee decided the following: - It is allowed to import milk and milk products from Europe, to be accompanied with veterinary health certificate from the exporting countries attesting that these products are from herds and farms free from the Schmallenberg virus, and that those products are heat treated sufficiently. - It is allowed to import de-boned meat from Europe, to be accompanied with veterinary health certificate from the exporting countries denoting that the source of meat is from animals and farms free from the Schmallenberg virus. - It is not allowed to import live animals for purpose of immediate slaughter, rearing, or pregnant heifers, originating from the countries recording the infection with Schmallenberg virus. - It is not allowed to import the semen from the European Countries affected with Schmallenberg virus.
