Regulations relating to the reduction of Sodium in certain Foodstuffs and related matters: Amendment (Government Notice R. 989 of 6 September 2016)

The Regulations make provision for the reduction of Sodium in certain Foodstuffs and related matters under the control of the Department of Health, in terms of the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act, 1972 (Act 54 of 1972) to comply with the implementation of the (a) Global Strategy on Diet, Physical Activity and Health, and (b) Global strategy for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases, as well as related matters (labelling), as outlined in these regulations.
