The Public Health (Food Hygiene) Regulations, 1973

These regulations make provisions for the requirements relating to food premises, persons in the food business, power to inspect food in transit, methods and practices in food businesses, adulterated or unwholesome food (power of seizure, examination and destruction). The purpose of the regulations is to protect public health.
