This draft standard specifies the basic requirements and the descriptive standards for luncheon meat and luncheon poultry meat.

This standard cancelled and superseded both of ES 1114/2005 concerned with "Luncheon Meat" and ES 1696/2005 concerned with "Luncheon Poultry Meat".
